Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Please read below for answers to common questions about NACUBO's online learning. If your question is not answered below, please email online@nacubo.org for assistance.

Registration

What payment methods are accepted for online events and courses?

NACUBO accepts credit and debit card payments for online events and courses.

If the card information needs to be entered by another individual at your institution, you can email online@nacubo.org for a direct pay link.

Why am I not seeing the member price when I try to register?

NACUBO’s Membership Team can check this for you. Please contact them at membership@nacubo.org.

I'm trying to register another team member, but they are not listed with my institution. How do I register them?

Your institution’s membership roster may need to be updated. The account manager for your institution’s membership can make this update by going to their NACUBO Account and selecting My Affiliations in the left menu.

If you need assistance, please contact membership@nacubo.org and provide the name, job title, and email address of the team member(s) you wish to add to your roster.

Where do I find my online events or courses after registering?

You can access your online events and courses on the My Registrations page located in the left sidebar.

How long do I have access to online events or courses after registering?

You will have access for these time frames:

  • Live Online Events: one year from the event date
  • Recordings: one year from the registration date
  • Courses: two years from the registration date

What are NACUBO’s policies for cancellations, transfers, and refunds for online learning?

Live Online Events

Registrants may email online@nacubo.org to request a refund, transfer their registration to a colleague from the same institution, or change their registration to/from in-person (when applicable) up to one week before a live online event. When changing registration type, the registrant may receive a refund minus administrative fee, if applicable (see above), or be asked to pay the price difference.

Refunds will not be issued to registrants who missed a live online event, experienced internet or technology issues, or did not meet the requirements for CPE credit.

Recordings and Courses

Refunds may not be requested for recordings, microlearning courses, or self-study courses. Registrations may be transferred to a colleague from the same institution if the original registrant has not accessed the content.

NACUBO reserves the right to determine if and when refunds and transfers are issued.

Live Online Events

Do I need to download anything to attend a live online event?

Online events are held in Zoom. If you don’t have Zoom downloaded on your device, you can download Zoom here. You do not need to create a Zoom account to attend.

If attending for CPE credit, we suggest using Zoom on a computer, rather than a phone or tablet.

Where do I find the Zoom link?

To join the Zoom room, you will first navigate to the page for that event in the Online Learning Center. There are several ways to locate the page for your event:

Once you are on the page for that event, you will:

(1) Select the title of the event under the Content tab.

(2) Click the Enter Webinar or Enter Session button. This button will become available 15 minutes prior to the start time.

(3) Click Open Link if prompted by your browser.

I don't need CPE credit, but I do need a certificate of completion for my employer. How do I obtain that?

You can email online@nacubo.org after a live event has ended to request a certificate of completion. We will check our records and provide a certificate if you were in attendance.

Continuing Professional Education (CPE)

How do I earn CPE credit for online events and courses?

A new CPE process is in place, as of October 20, 2023. Please review the CPE Instructions page for details.

Can I earn CPE credit for watching an event recording?

Not at this time. You must attend an online event live to earn CPE credit.

I earned CPE credit for an online event or course. Where do I find my CPE certificate?

Go to My Certificates on this site to download CPE certificates you've earned for online events (since March 2021) and self-paced courses.

If you need a CPE certificate for an online event held prior to March 2021, please email the event titles and dates to online@nacubo.org and allow up to 5 business days for your certificates.

I earned CPE credit for an in-person event. Where do I find my CPE certificate?

You can find recent CPE certificates for in-person programs under My CPE in your NACUBO account.

For help with CPE certificates for in-person events, please contact cpe@nacubo.org.

How do I know if an online event is being recorded?

All NACUBO online events are recorded, unless otherwise noted on the event page.

I registered for an online event prior to October 20, 2023. How do I access the recording(s)?
