AI has become ubiquitous, finding its way into our homes, cars, and the businesses we frequent. For higher education business and operations professionals, AI presents opportunities for increasing efficiency and effectiveness—if we can strategically approach its adoption and use. In this webinar, panelists will define AI, provide an overview of current and potential uses for higher ed business and operations, and share some best practices for AI adoption and use. This webinar is geared toward individuals who view themselves as AI novices as well as for those who have already begun exploring this evolving tool.

Steps to Earn CPE Credit
To earn CPE credit, you must attend the webinar live. CPE credit cannot be earned for watching the recording.
After the webinar ends, you will complete the following steps under the Content tab:
- Pass the CPE codeword quiz. Write down the codewords posted in the Zoom chat at random times throughout the webinar and complete the quiz at the end of the webinar.
- Submit the CPE check-out code displayed at the end of the webinar.
- Download your CPE certificate.
You have until 5 pm Eastern Time on February 7, 2025, to complete these three steps or report technology issues with this site to online@nacubo.org.

Orkun Toros currently serves as the associate vice president and chief budget officer at the University of Texas at Dallas, overseeing the budget, bursar, central business services and finance IT areas. He has led numerous system development and process improvement initiatives focused on strategic planning, budgeting, shared services, business analytics, personnel actions, and financial planning across three institutions.
Toros has a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and an MBA and holds certified public accountant and project management professional certifications.
Lindsay K. Wayt
Senior Director, Analytics

Lindsay K. Wayt, Ph.D., is senior director of analytics at NACUBO. She works on initiatives and programming that support NACUBO’s efforts to help colleges and universities integrate the use of analytics to achieve institutional goals. This includes collaborating with NACUBO members and key stakeholders from other organizations to propel the use of data-informed decision-making in higher education. She has experience conducting higher education research, studying topics such as the use of data and analytics in higher education, tuition discounting, and higher education leadership. Wayt completed her doctoral work focused on educational leadership and higher education.
