In this webinar, leaders from the University of Lynchburg are partnering to launch a new program that helps students apply agentic AI in ways that complement their educational experience. The session will explore how finance and academic leadership can work together to support innovation, workforce readiness, and measurable student success. Participants will hear how Lynchburg is approaching investment, implementation, and responsible AI use while keeping student outcomes and institutional sustainability at the center.
Timothy Schauer

Dr. Timothy L. Schauer, Interim Dean for the School of Professional and Applies Science, has been an Associate Professor of Marketing within the College of Business at the University of Lynchburg for six years. He has helped to bring to life, CoLab, a student-run digital Marketing lab and The Garage, an AI lab for students. His research interests include Retail, and Millennials. Dr. Schauer serves on a number of committees and is actively engaged in student recruitment. His great love is instilling a “passion for learning” into his students, exemplified by the enthusiasm he brings into the classroom. Before academia, Dr. Schauer worked within the marketing and advertising industry for over 25 years and now brings that experience into the classroom. He led the marketing efforts for a number of regional retailers and operated his own Advertising Agency for almost a decade, developing and implementing marketing strategies for a variety of corporations including The National Guard, Campbell's Soups, Turkey Hill Dairies, Harley-Davidson, Palmer Chocolate, Shady Maple Farm Market and Smorgasbord, and The Special Olympics. Throughout his career, he has developed numerous marketing campaigns, led several marketing and sales teams, and managed multimillion-dollar budgets.
Price Jett

Price Jett serves as Vice President for Finance and Operations and Chief Financial Officer at the University of Lynchburg, where he leads the institution’s financial strategy, operations, technology, advancement team and long‑range sustainability initiatives. He brings more than two decades of executive experience across higher education, global nonprofit finance, and corporate advisory work. Before joining Lynchburg, Price served as Chief Financial Officer at the International Mission Board, stewarding $1.1 billion in assets, establishing the organization’s first $100 million quasi‑endowment, and overseeing more than $500 million in reserves and permanent endowments. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles at the Corporate Executive Board (now Gartner Group), advising Fortune 500 CFOs on financial strategy and operational excellence. Price holds an MBA from Cornell University and a BS in Physics. He and his wife, Deidre, live in Lynchburg and have three adult children.
